Rauni
Barros Da Silva
Brazilian born with a passion for all things that fall under the realm of storytelling. Rauni moved to the UK and settled in Oxford. After graduating he wanted to tell as many stories as possible and He founded True Vision Features as a way to bridge the gap in short cinematic productions in Oxford. Rauni has had to learn all aspects of filmmaking from Pre-Production to delivery and with over 20 short films of experience as a director and/or cinematographer, he responsible for gathering a cohort of talented individuals to work on all of the short films under the anthology project. His idea is to unite and connect talented Oxford related individuals to work together now and inthe future. Handling most of the shooting and editing process, Rauni has a passion for film, untold storytelling, narrative driven stories. Spearheading and producing the Oxford Anthology which has gathered filmmakers from all over Oxford, London, Manchester and Ireland to work together under one umbrella.
Ralph Roque
Ralph was trained from a classical stage theatre background, originally from the Philippines. After having toured around the UK and EU for 5 years, he switched his focus onto Screen Acting. Venturing into the UK independent film circuit and has been casted in arthouse cinema productions. Ralph had worked with award-winning Directors and Producers with works recognised in ceremonies such as the International Singapore Film Festival. He now focuses in Film Production where he promotes BAME performances on screen and stage, advocating for cultural ethnic diversity, promoting local and international talent. Working with True Vision Features, Ralph aims to nurture the next generation of diverse talent in captivating narratives. Ralph is in charge of handling locations, booking talent and developing ideas for the companies personal projects.
Blessing
Kapswarah
Born in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, Blessing is a digital creator who studied graphic design in Bournemouth but during lockdown picked up a camera and fell in love with storytelling. Since then he has worked on numerous corporate and commercial projects and has developed his skill as both a photographer and videographer and is now keen take the next step in the narrative storytelling as a cinematographer.
Phyllis
Tea
Phyllis has been assistant director for three short films and produced four shorts since becoming involved in filmmaking, usually helping plan out the schedule for the day and making sure everything ticks along smoothly. With a background as a scientist, She brings her love for the arts and problem-solving skills from research into filmmaking. This mix lets her stay organised and adaptable, making sure the project comes together efficiently.
Kudzayi Tutisani
specialising in lighting and with a strong desire and passion for creating, Kudzayi can work across numerous roles including directing, sound operating and script writing because he never wants to limit his options to be a part of something special. With a degree in filmmaking at UWE Bristol, he is aiming to make strides within his practice by working on miultiple projects. Kudzayi mostly focuses on Lighting narrative scenes, Grip, Sparking and sound work as well as shooting and editing. With a background as a scientist, She brings her love for the arts and problem-solving skills from research into filmmaking. This mix lets her stay organised and adaptable, making sure the project comes together efficiently.
Samuel
Cheshire
Samuel is a passionate director based in Oxford, having graduated last year from Solent University with a degree in Film and Television. Since then, he has gained experience as a Script Supervisor on a feature film, sharpening his skills in the filmmaking process. In addition to his work on a feature, Samuel has held various roles in several short films produced both in and around Oxford. Earlier this year, he co-directed a five-minute dark comedy titled “Drift” with a friend. Now, Samuel is focusing on his new project, “A Field of Lambs,” aiming to push his creative boundaries and challenge himself as a filmmaker.
Carly
Jarvis
Carly is the Special Make-Up Effects artist. She graduated the SMUFX course for film and TV at the University of Bolton, with a first class degree in 2023. She now continues to create and apply makeups and props for local projects, wishing to gain experience for the film and TV industry. Since joining True Vision Features she has worked on five production and has really impacted the visual look of our films.
Luther
Recido
Joshua Luther Recido is an aspiring Filipino director, currently studying at the University of Oxford for his undergraduate studies. Although he studies Experimental Psychology, and has no prior formal education in film, through the Oxford University Filmmaking Foundation he has worked as DOP and Assistant Camera in various short film projects. Since his experience in making his first short documentary film in China during the Looking China Project in 2023, he has been determined to pursue a future career in filmmaking. It is evident that his passion for storytelling and video production from the age of 12 has translated into a newfound love for creating films. Luther is beginning to take the necessary steps to pursue this desired career in the filmmaking industry, and is on his way to creating more films in the near future.
Princessa
Gomez
Born and raised in the US, Princesa has had a lifelong love of writing, films, and Latin American history. At age three, she recited and acted all the lines of her then favorite movie, Balto, and maintains a knack for reciting movie lines verbatim. As a second-generation Dominican from a small family, Princesa looked to writing and history to better understand her belonging in the world and express the complexities of life "on the hyphen". Her pensive writing style would enrich her academic essays, while her breadth of historical knowledge would contextualize her observations on literature, plays, and films. Princesa moved to the UK in 2018 to pursue a postgraduate degree in Latin American studies, where she fell in love with London's lively and close-knit Latino community. She now travels regularly between there and her home in the US, and she makes it a point to always see at least one live performance when in the UK.
Alex
Hopkins-mcquillan
Alex is a writer and filmmaker based in London. He was born in Dublin, grew up in Newbury, and studied English Literature at the University of Oxford, where he had his first on-set experiences working on student shorts. His favourite films include Aftersun, Moonlight, The Lives of Others, and Greta Gerwig's Little Women.
